Chuck Hersh

Born in Hartford Connecticut, Chuck moved to Florida in 1968 where he developed an interest in photography at the early age of 15. Chuck has always loved the great outdoors and the beauty of nature.  After a brief time away from Florida, his career in nature photography took flight. Using nothing more than a consumer film camera, the Canon EOS rebel, chuck began capturing the beautiful wildlife of South Florida. Today he is the recipient of several photography awards.

Chuck’s experience with digital processing began in 1991 while working in the advertising industry. He honed his skills in graphic design and Photoshop, concentrating on getting an accurate color workflow from camera to print, and everything in between. Today, his workflow is now completely digital, from capture to final product. By printing his own work, Chuck is able to ensure that detail and color accuracy are true to the original. Chuck works with several well known artists; color correcting their work for proper color reproduction.

In 2006, Chuck formed the Everglades Photographic Society by assembling some of the best Nature Photographers in South Florida, to promote Conservation and Education through Photography.

Chuck captures nature with an artistic flair that is uniquely his own.
